The incident led to the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, police said.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
