The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Before LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete has considerable social media audience
Kai Trump will have numerous well-known backers when she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and often competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically advised me to play and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions recently and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He told me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face some of the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, such as world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials stated that her participation brings golf to different demographics, specifically reaching younger fans.
The young star has a massive following and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living label.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
